The Kelly Monument fronting the Pro Cathedral of St. Patricks in Roden Place Dundalk. The Monument commemorates the death of Capt. James Kelly, Gerald Hughes, James Crosbey and James Murphy all from Dundalk who were drowned in the heroic attempt to save the crew of the ill fated “Mary Stoddart” wrecked in a violent storm in Dundalk bay on the 6th of April 1858.
