Michael Gaynor President Old Dundalk Society giving a tour of the town on a very rain swept Dundalk, in late June 2025 to some American visitors who were tracing their family routes back to Dundalk. Their Grandmother Mary left Dundalk for America in 1922 where she settled and married in Boston USA. Despite the inclement weather our visitors enjoyed the tour of the town which proved an emotional experience for them, realising that their grandmother might very well have played and shopped on the very street they visited on the tour. They promised a return visit to Dundalk in the not to distant future.
