The Lecture recalled the extraordinary response of fire brigades from Dundalk, Dublin, Dun Laoghaire and Drogheda who travelled north to assist during the devastating air raids of 1941 in Belfast. The lecture was delivered by Jim Kerley (Dundalk) and Mark Wigton (Belfast) to a packed house at the Louth County Museum. The audience on the night were treated to a meticulously researched, and enthuastically presented lecture.

A highlight of the evening was the historic Merryweather fire engine which was on display in the Museum courtyard.
